I Just experienced something that I wanted to share. I had an idea to form a mastermind group in my local area and I did a flyer for it. I was excited but it started raining and I decided that I would put the flyer up in the laundrymat tomorrow instead of today. Then I felt the feeling of momentum – you know the build of excitement about something that you feel good about – I felt that feeling slipping away. I had to keep that feeling in my mind so that I could hold on to it and get that flyer to the laundrymat and hang it up with excitement and not leave it in the folder that it is sitting in right now.
That is part of the puzzle. You have to hold on to the M O M E N T U M of the next step that you are working on – no matter what it is – in order to complete the task and move one step closer to your goal.
I realized that I dropped the ball. I should have hauled butt over the laundrymat and put the flyer up before I came home no matter what.
Well, that’s it for now. I hope that helps. It has helped me tremendously and I wanted to share that in the hopes that it would help someone else.
Check out the video on the previous post. This speaks about Momentum in great detail.
My friend, Devon Brown, shared this video with me and it is so powerful. You MUST watch this whole video and do the exercise that Tony shows you.
This is a great video to show you how to get your mindset where it needs to be for you to get your first deal done, or whatever it is you want to do. It’s all in your head. Watch this video twice.
The video is only 38 minutes. Take the time. Give yourself this gift and watch it through.
I’m being totally honest here and telling you that I haven’t gotten in touch with Mr. Tyrone Taylor yet to get my first deal done. It seems that whenever I make my mind to do something – something else gets in the way. A bill, extra money being taken out of your checking account for something you forgot about, etc. Always something that seems to get in the way.
This reminds me exactly of something I read in Napoleon Hill’s, Think and Grow Rich — “…Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach.”
This is exactly how I feel – that keen sense of irony and cunning. Well, I’m not going to let it happen to me. I’m going to get my money together somehow, someway and get signed up with Tyrone Taylor.
I’ll keep you informed of my progress. Let me know about yours too. My thoughts are, “I’m not going to let anything stop me from getting where I want to go”
I’ve been reading T. Harv Eker’s, Millionaire Mind. I’ve been practicing every morning putting my hand on my heart saying, “My inner world creates my outer world” and then putting my hand on my forehead and saying, “I have a millionaire mind.
You might want to try that too. It has been helping me. Maybe it will help you.
Well, this is my 14th post and have I made any progress yet? Yes I have. How? I have decided that I’m going to work with Tyrone Taylor and let him help me do my first deal. He has a great price breakdown right now – $97 a month for four months or $347 upfront and he will help you do your first deal. I figured my funds are not in the greatest shape at this point and this would really do me some good. Others are charging $5000 and up to teach. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that but my personal finances are a disaster at the moment and I am not yet in a position to pay $5k for such training. I do believe I can swing $97 a month to start and who knows when I get my first deal in 30 days or hopefully less and get a check in my hand for$5k or even $3k what do you think that will do to my life overall – my confidence, my bank account, my self esteem, my belief level, my mindset – the mindest of a newbie real estate investor will change forever.
I don’t know how long Tyrone Taylor is going to keep the prices like this so hurry up and check him out before he raises his prices.
What would that kind of success do to your or even my mindset? I see it and I feel it and I also believe it now. Remember what I said that Joe Nunziata said about it’s more about how you feel and what you believe than it is anything else. If you got Tyrone Taylor to help you do your first deal and you got a check in your hand for $5k or more – how would that make you feel and what would that do to your mindset? I know I would be jumping for joy because I finally accomplished that goal. I finally overcame the fear enough to move forward and let someone else help me make it happen. I’ll keep you posted as to my progress and please feel free to join the conversation.
I am. I am working through my fears. Our fears begin in our thoughts and like I’m realizing and hope you are too — your thoughts have energy and we must take control of them. To that end I found a 1 minute video from Dr. Van Zant. She was discovered on Oprah Winfrey’s Show a few years back. She gives some powerful, simple tips on how to work through your fears.
Check it out for yourself. I think you’ll agree it is very powerful.
I found a great video I’d like to share with you that speaks volumes about procrastination as well as mindset. I believe this is where it truly starts. All success or failure begins in your mind. Your thoughts have power and energy that if you don’t control – they will control you.
This gets right to the heart of the matter. All real estate newbies should pay attention and watch this as many times as you need to.
I found this at thirtydaychallenge.com. This is Ed Dale’s site. This is actually his second go round with thirtdaychallenge.com. I didn’t complete the first one and am determined to complete this 30-day challenge. I don’t know about you, but this has always been a challenge for me. I start something and don’t finish it. Well, this is a test for me. If you need to test yourself too, I suggest you challenge yourself to the thirtydaychallenge.com and get it done!
