Real Estate Newbies I took the Plunge and Signed up With Keller Williams Realty

Hey Everyone,  I didn’t realize it has been 28 days since my last post. I’m sorry about that. My intention was to make a post every 7 days at least. Well, just as my post title says, I signed up with Keller Williams Realty to become an agent and learn the basics of traditional real estate. I say traditional because I want to become a wholesale real estate specialist – that is still my dream and goal but I needed to do something to get where I want to go NOW. It’s not all about the money. I want to grow and become the best that I can and I wanted to make a move and I did- what about you? What move are you going to make to move in that direction. It may not be headed directly in that direction. You might take a few twists and turns like I’m doing but I’m doing something and that what counts. I’m not sitting waiting for something to happen – I’m making it happen.

I like the fact that Keller Williams Realty allowed me to start part-time and keep my job because I still need to keep an income while learning how to build a successful real estate business. All of the other companies I spoke to wanted me to commit full-time but I wasn’t in a financial position to do so and still keep the cable on and have a marketing budget too. That just wasn’t going to work without my part-time job. So here I am an agent for Keller Williams Realty and I’m very excited. I’m going to learn how to build a successful traditional real estate business while I’m still looking to become a wholesale real estate specialist. This is going to be fun and hard work because I’m going to be straddling – working both places – as an employee at my part-time job and as an independent contractor at Keller Williams Realty. I’ve never done this before so it will be interesting to see the results. I’ll keep you posted and I hope this will give you the incentive to move forward on whatever you’re doing or want to do. If I can you, you most certainly can too!

Until next time,

Prepare & Prosper

OK Real Estate Newbies Are You Making It Happen?

I’m moving slowly but surely in that direction for myself. What are you doing to make “IT” happen for you? Remember I told you I was going to finally “learn the basics” of real estate and learn to build a business in the real estate office and learn to sell houses. Honestly, I wasn’t going to do this because I didn’t like the fact that the broker controls your money. I had a hard time accepting that fact and that’s why it took me so long to come to this conclusion. I finally accepted that fact and I’m not 100% ok with it but I’m understanding that you have to accept some things you don’t like if you want to ultimately get where you want to go.

So Real Estate Newbies what are you ultimately accepting as your truth to get you where you want to go? Well, what? Get moving in the direction you want your life to go.

See you at the top.
